Top 3 Nutritional Supplements

Fly Like A Butterfly & Sting Like A Bee

Your body is an incredible machine. It takes the smallest molecules and elements on the planet and strategically puts them together like puzzle pieces to create larger molecules, then cells, then organs, and ultimately entire body systems like your vascular system, nervous system, and musculoskeletal system.

How do you maintain healthy functioning systems? Easy! Simply provide your body with the building blocks it needs and your body will automatically plug them in where they need to be.

A lot of research and marketing has been done on educating the public about important nutrients for your vascular system and nervous system (if you have not heard of them yet, write me a note and I’d be happy to share with you), but not much attention has been paid to the musculoskeletal system. What is the musculoskeletal system, you ask? It’s your bones, joints, and muscles that are responsible for your structure and movement. The following are the top 3 most important supplements that you should be taking to insure your musculoskeletal system is functioning at its peak potential.

      1) Calcium/Magnesium: These two elements can often be found in the same supplement container. Calcium is involved in nearly every bodily function. Magnesium has been proven to hydrate and relax muscles. The combination of these two have a power-house effect on your bodies muscles. Anyone who suffers from muscle cramps should initiate supplementation of these two elements first and foremost. Calcium/Magnesium does not only help skeletal muscle function properly, it also improves the function of smooth muscles, reducing the severity of menstrual cramps and digestive issues. The benefits of these supplements are countless. Take a dosage of 1200mg Calcium to 400mg Magnesium every day for 8 weeks to appreciate a boost in your bodies state of wellness.

      2) Glucosamine/Chondroitin: These two supplements are often found in the same container as well. They are the most effective nutrients in rebuilding joint cartilage. Time and time again, studies on Glucosamine and Chondroitin have proven to shown improvement in symptoms and in some cases reversal of joint degeneration and arthritis. Anyone suffering from joint pain or a joint injury must add 1500mg Glucosamine Sulfate and 1200mg Chondroitin Sulfate into their supplemental routine.

      3) Vitamin C: Vitamin C, just like Calcium, is involved in hundreds of bodily functions. It’s great for your immune system, it’s a powerful antioxidant, but what has been underplayed is how essential it is in the development of bone and soft tissues. Almost all musculoskeletal tissues originate from collagen, and Vitamin C is fundamental for collagen synthesis. After any bodily injury, high doses of Vitamin C should be added to your diet to insure proper healing is at its max potential. Doses of Vitamin C should range from 500mg per day for regular maintenance to 5000mg per day for acute injury recovery.

Whether you are an all-star athlete who relies on an optimally functioning musculoskeletal system, or a couch potato who doesn’t want their foot to cramp when they take off their socks, these are the top 3 supplements that will insure your bodily goals are met.

Why Do Surgeries Fail So Often?

Post Date: February 4th, 2010

A Picture Is NOT Worth A Thousand Words

Surgery in the U.S. has consistently proven to be inappropriately prescribed to the public. This has been made very clear by the high frequency of surgical failures so many desperate pain sufferers have experience.

The reason for this high frequency of failure is mostly due to one simple fact; the source of the patients pain was misdiagnosed! The leading culprit: Doctors who make their diagnosis simply off of an MRI or an X-ray image.

Images such as MRI, CT, and X-ray are very often misleading. For example, most men over the age of 40 have disc bulges without a hint of discomfort. Most people over the age of 20 have developed some degree of arthritis with no symptoms of pain at all! To diagnose the source of an individuals pain and prescribe surgery from advanced imaging alone is an unethical and potentially life-threatening practice.

A comprehensive orthopedic examination from a specialist is the most safe and effective way to verify, with high likelihood, the source of an individuals pain. Furthermore, even after an appropriate diagnosis, surgery should still only be considered viable after all other treatment options have been exhausted.
