Temporomandibular Joint Disorder, commonly known as TMJ, is a simple biomechanical problem of the jaw. Symptoms typically include jaw pain and popping, headache, earache, and sometimes even toothache like symptoms. Causes vary, but patients commonly complain of these symptoms after undergoing prolong dental work, being involved in a car accident, sleeping on their jaw, or grinding their teeth at night.
